Top 5 Essential Oils For Busy Moms
Every mom is busy. The mom of 5 kids, the mom with 1 kid. We all have a million and a half things on our plate. When I first started hearing the chatter of Essential oils I figured I just didn’t have time to add another something on to my balancing act. Don’t get me wrong, learning oils and allowing it be part of my life was a change. But im so in love with the change, from helping this mom destress to calming my crazy almost 5 year old boy all the way to cleaning my house in a healthy way. I can’t believe EOs haven’t been a part of my life longer. Here are my top favorite oils for a busy mom’s life.
1. Stress Away
Exactly that. This Essentail Oil Blend is an amazing blend of Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea, and Lavender. Diffuse or directly inhale the aroma of Stress Away essential oil during a hectic day to help you refocus your emotions and energy. OR use a Stress Away Roll on for a convenient, on-the-go massage. Apply it to your neck or wrists for an invigorating and refreshing scent that will help you remember what’s most important. This oil’s sweet, woodsy, and floral scent is relaxing for everyone around to enjoy the smell.
Peppermint is a 100% pure therapeutic-grade peppermint leaf oil. This oil is one of the most versatile and popular essential oils, making it a daily must-have. It has a cool, tingling sensation that’s great for not only a post-workout massage but also a little pick-me-up. Apply Peppermint oil to your temples, forehead, or neck for a revitalizing sensation you’ll love. Ever get headaches!? I DO!! Peppermint is my go to oil for headache relief.
As one of the most beloved aromas in soaps, skincare products, cleaners, and perfumes, Lavender is an everyday oil every mom needs. Treat yourself to its soft, soothing scent when you feel overwhelmed or at the end of the day by diffusing it or adding a few drops to a steamy, well-deserved bath. I personally like to add a drop to my handful of shampoo to give a soothing relaxing smell in my hair. AND the lavender makes my hair SOOOO soft.
Children love this tranquil aroma and effect as well. Mom and Dad can apply it to the bottoms of little feet before bedtime or naptime for a smoother night’s rest. This family ritual will help signal it’s time to unwind. AND GO TO BED! (“no you may not have more water”)! Ha.
4. Peace & Calming ll
One of Young Living’s most popular oils, Peace & Calming II blends tangy citrus oils with warm floral notes to invite a comforting ambiance. Let Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Northern Lights Black Spruce create a relaxing environment your family will love. Add a few drops Peace & Calming II essential oil to the tub at bath time to create a mood that indicates bedtime is coming. You can also diffuse the oil while reading bedtime stories or tucking kids into bed. Then, treat yourself to a quiet moment of repose after the kids are in bed by diffusing or directly inhaling the oil’s scent.
Thieves essential oil is another Young Living favorite and its ability to tackle nearly any situation makes it a mom’s best friend. It includes oils like Lemon and Clove, which don’t just smell wonderful—they work hard to cut everyday messes too. You’ll love how easy Thieves makes it to replace conventional cleaners with naturally derived, yet powerful, solutions. With so many options in young livings thieves line. How can one choose a favorite? Create DIY cleaners with the added strength of Thieves EOs. You’ll feel confident your children will be safe from not just dirt and grime but harsh chemicals as well.
Thieves EO is an amazing smell to diffuse while at the same time cleansing the air. It’s great to help prevent illness by rubbing on with lemon and creating a “immunity” blend for you and your precious littles.
Hope you enjoy my favorites and decide to make the plunge too!
